How many of you believe and actually follow through with those beliefs that HONESTY is the best way to go? How many of you believe and actually live through good communication skills in your life and relationships?
I can say that yes, my life is based on honesty, and that is how I am in ANY relationship, whether it is friendship or with my family or with a significant other. I also live my life with GREAT communication skills, meaning I talk openly about EVERYTHING! I will ask questions until I understand things 100% so there is NO misunderstandings or miscommunication errors. So many of my past relationships have been destroyed because the man has lacked honesty, and communication skills.
I personally would rather know if my man has had thoughts of cheating or being with another woman BEFORE he does it!! Because then at least we can talk about it, see if there is something he is lacking from our relationship - I believe that a lot of the men that cheat or stray it is because they are lacking something from their present marriage or relationship. So lets fix the problem before it gets out of hand!! If things are getting boring in the sack - spice it up! If he is worried about something, lets get it straightened out!!
I know some men find it difficult to discuss or talk about their feelings, but if there is really love or intense feelings between two partners, shouldnt there be a way to discuss these problems, to work things out? I believe also that it takes TWO! It takes TWO to work on things, and communicate, it takes TWO to be honest and talk about things! It takes two to make a relationship/partnership to work!!

Honesty, integrity, and the personal strength to communicate are the most important things to me in a relationship. I am capable of deep love and absolute respect for the woman I am with. Communication is key to loving someone and respecting them as a person and a lover. I like to discuss all nature of things with my lover including my fantasies. Some fantasies may be the thing that spices up a persons sex life, while others may not be meant to be anything other than fantasies.

Honesty, integrity, loyalty and communication are, IMO, the four basic building blocks in every persons personality! I'm not a psychiatrist but it makes sense to me that humans are the only species on this planet, with all four traits and understand the meaning of each trait and how to work with them- or they should anyway! It's what separates us from the rest of the species on this planet, as humans!
Whether you're talking about marriages, a business, politics or whatever; if any one trait is out of balance with the others, it will cause major problems eventually!
You can lose your marriage, your business anything you cherish in your life, even your life, if you don't take steps to correct the trait(s) that are out of balance!
Anyway, that's my interpretation of the qualities needed for an organized and fruitful life!

I believe integrity will take you where money or anything else cant.I am extremely honest and live with strong convictions!I had a friend that was in love with me for three years and it actually kept me from dating because I didnt want to hurt her. I felt trapped and even though we communicated very well and she understood where i stood i still couldnt date !

Honesty and communication are key to a good relationship. And it does take two. But the hard part is finding the one who will be honest and upffront reguardless of how bad its going to hurt a person.

Honesty and communication........What a perfect pair....Almost everyone likes to describe themselves as having these qualities, yet complain they don't see them in other people.....Each person's definition of these things, as they apply to themselves, is different....and that is the crux of the matter...

Sometimes, you don't really know what the problem is. So you say, nothing is wrong. But six weeks later during a big mess you suddenly get why you were upset... and pow there you go.. and if you tell them then, they get all fried with you. Or is that just me?

Lovey these two t hings are the hardest things to give someone . Sometimes they dont want to hear honesty , it either hurts or makes em mad, and communication only works if you have someone that can hear.

That's one of my motos in life, I can deal with anything as long as I know what it is. If someone lies to me they take away my right to make my own choices.
If you can't be honest you can't create a meaningful lasting relationship, IMHO.

If it's worth saying anything ...
(meaning sometimes it's not that important to make waves over)
then yes, Honest is always the best way to go in every situation.
