, GryGoast. I even listen to Mescalero on occassion. It reminds me of those Pittsburgh days when I stayed out at the bars untill well after closing time, went to breakfast, and staggered into class.
Ma'am, I wouldn't know if they are having a record albumn war .
The last three CD's in my stereo are Creedence Clearwater Revival: 5, Rush: The Spirit of Radio, and Macy Gray: BIG.
The three most recent CD's in my collection are James Blunt: All the Lost Souls [I ordered it online, but still have not gotten it yet.], David Gilmour: The AOL Sessions, April 2006, and Pink Floyd: The Piper At the Gates of Dawn [3 disc version].

Nielsen SoundScan shows West's album moved 957,000 during its first six days. 50 Cent's "Curtis": 691,000 sold.
Too bad music requiring the talent of being able to play an instrument doesn't get as much exposure as these guys and cracked-out pop-stars do.

Gotta go with Kanye, the album has more variety to its songs. For Kanye you can argue that each album he makes is better than his last. With Fifty you have to admit the quality is in decline, I have not head one person say this album is better than massacre (spelling, I know I know, please buy me hooked on phonics for my next birthday.)
Gotta ask though, why the hostile reaction to this question? I am not a fan of rock or country music, but I don't insult other members taste or quality of music when they post song lyrics, etc. Why is hip hop so polorizing? Ok that was a retorical question, please don't answer (seriously).

Well, I gotta have my 1980's Madonna, Pat Benatar, and other rock pop artists of the 1980's decade.
