Now I am not one of these crystal holding, mantra chanting ladies, although there is nothing wrong with that.. just saying, that's not who I am. I don't profess to be psychic, a channeller, or an interpreter of dreams. I'm simply the run-of-the-mill, (well maybe not so run-of-the-mill) woman who grew up in a large Catholic family that decided as an adult that maybe that wasn't for me either.

Anyway... what I'm wondering is do any of you ever seem to know things that you wouldn't normally-- before they happen? I'm not sure what to make of it, but lately it's happening to me fairly often. Nothing profound or exciting.. just small things.

An example is about a week ago I was talking to a friend on the phone and asked him.. hey did you ever get your battery replaced on your van? He had no clue what I was talking about and said it was working fine. I was like.. ya know.. I am positive that your battery had gone kaput and you had to go get a new one. Thinking maybe I was just a bit confused, we just laughed it off and continued our conversation. It wasn't 2 days that passed and he called me back. Sure enough, he had just returned from buying a new battery for his cargo van. It suddenly went bad. hmmmm.

And then there is last night at work. A co-worker and I were making a cruise through the ER and I, for whatever reason unknown to me, asked her if she had her Vocera (a small voice communicator thing we use in this hospital). She said she did, looking at me a bit funny and wondering why I would even ask that. I then began looking around for something.. checking the nurses stations, the docs hangout, not being quite sure what I was even looking for. Then it occured to me. We passed an ER Tech and I asked him.. hey have you seen her pager? it's missing. Oops? Where the hell did THAT come from? She said "My pager isn't missing.. it's right here!" only to discover, that yes, indeed, she did not have it with her.

It seems that fairly often these days, this kind of thing is happening to me and I'm not the only one noticing it. I sure don't know what to make of it, do you?

I have had brushes with clairvoyance, but it is nothing I can manipulate at will. But I certainly know it when it is present. I have dreams that fortell the future on rare occasions also.

What a coincidence!

just last night I said to myself..."I know I'm going to have to pee in the next two hours" and sure enough, right after my 6th beer...and it had only been 20 mins.

I've had cases of clairvoyance also now and then, but the one I remember the most was when I was 17.....(just to back up a bit my mom and dad divorced when I was 5 and he wasn't around much to visit us, he was a truck driver, a drunk, a womanizer, he abused his women and us children often, I witnessed him beating my mom and my stepmother on a several occassions, but still as children we missed "our dad" and had questions like any normal child would have.)

To continue the story tho...I was outside mowing the yard, and I'm not sure how many of us have "conversations with other people" in your head, but I do now and then, and well I was having a conversation with my Grandmother in my head, we were arguing back and forth about my dad coming to see us and the one thing I remember the most was she had said plain and clear "Well it doesn't matter anyways cuz your dad is dead!"
Well that just stopped me in my tracks and I was speechless.

The very next day, however, my mom gets a call from my grandmother, my dad's mom, telling her that my father had died late that night.

This freaked me right out at the age of 17 to be able to "see into the future", but yet not really realize that I had. I have these visions/voices...
deja vu's, if you will often,..it can be inspiring at times, but yet pretty spine tingling, hair raising at other times.

I'm sorry

Sometimes I just can't help myself. On a more serious note, I used to think that I had some weird subconscious telekinetic thing going on that affected the street lights. They'd flicker, and sometimes go out completely when I was near.

I think most people have experienced some sort of Deja` Vu

just recently a co-worker and I had the exact same thought at the same time..."Coffee Break!"

I have predictive dreams, on occasion. Last year, I had a recurring dream that I would sell my house of 15 years by the end of summer. Well, on the 1st of August, the house was sold.

My father was in Europe in the late 50s, and he dreamed of his Uncle Barney in a casket. When he got home, it turned out that Uncle Barney had died and had been buried at the same time.

Another time, when visiting my aunt in Pennsylvania, I predicted that the Pirates-Mets ball game (in NY) would start at 10pm, after the rain delay had ended. The game started at exactly 10pm. Being the good Pennsylvania Dutch that she was, she turned to me and said "You're erie."

Not so good as your talent, perhaps, but kind of fun. Except when it isn't good.

Darthmaul... I'm sure this stuff happens to everyone at one time or another, but lately for me its been quite often.. I don't think I would call it a talent though.. just not sure what to make of it and its happening enough that people are talking.. It just comes out from nowhere.

No, I haven't had any experiences my self, but my sister is freaky. She seems to have a very special connection to my son, he was in the military for several years, and she was always able to tell us when he could come home for a visit before he could. I dont know how she does it, but she can make you pick up the phone and dial her number, when she answers, with laughter, she says, "oh good, I was to lazy to dial the phone, but knew you would call soon.

Every one has psychic ability. Everyone. The only difference in a psychic and a regular joe is that the person who calls themselves psychic has taken the time out to learn to trust their intuition. The more you use it, the more intense it becomes as well.
