One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky. TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky. TEACHER: Did you see God up there? TOMMY: No. TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. Possibl he just doesn't exist. A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy Tommy, do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes. LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher? TOMMY: Yes LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain? TOMMY: No LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught in school today she may not even have one! 	lol ... a joke with a very good point. There are, after all, so many ways to define "see", and even more ways to define "proof". I for one will not say something does not exist on the basis of cannot "see" or cannot "prove". However, you will find that many people have it "figured out" and think that a divine being or beings who created the universe must manifest themselves in this way or that like some physically measurable phenomena. They figure if they do not understand it or it does not accord with their idea of what that divine being should be then such a being cannot exist. I always say, if there is a divine being and I, a mere puny mortal person, could figure him/her out completely, he/she must not be all that great after all. Doesn't Man's arrogance just make for a great cosmic joke?
