You know those stories that you read about what little kids did and you sometimes think , are they for real? Did that chid actually do that? And you laugh thinking how could such a thing happen...
Yeah, well....... yesterday I was at my daughters. She been really busy, going to school fulltime, just moved into their new house last weekend, taking care of 3 kids, trying to spend time with her husband, and just life in general. I decided that I would grab groceries on the way over there and I fixed dinner last night to give her a little bit of a break. And because I miss cooking, I never do it anymore...wasn't sure if I remembered how... lol So everyone is finished eating except for the youngest one. She was 2 in June and eats very well on her own. She's sitting in her high chair finishing while we are unpacking some things out of boxes in the kitchen. I hear her say, "corn in nose." I look at her and said 'No, ______, don't put corn in your nose." And we both watch her closely for a minute but she doesn't seem to have any interest in putting corn in her nose, she's too busy eating it. She loves corn. We both continue what we are doing. About 2 minutes later she starts sneezing and rubbing at her nose. I grab her out of her chair, lean her back so I can look in her nose and Yeap...corn in nose. I get it out and check her nose real well.Nothing. I go in the bathroom, wash my hands and walk back in the kitchen where she is. She sneezes again, her little eyes are watering and she rubs her nose again. As I pick her up to check again, she coughs and is trying to struggle with me to rub her nose and doesn't want to lean back again. I finally get to check and Yeap...again, corn in the nose. Since she doesn't know how to blow her nose yet, that wasn't an option. It took a few seconds to get this one out. OMG, she had stuffed 2 whole kernals of corn up her nose. With us right there. Later we were in the living room and I picked her up just to sit with her for a minute and read her a storybook. A common thing to do. She said, "No corn in nose Gamma. No corn in nose." As she held her hand over her nose shaking her head. All I could do was hug her and laugh as I told it her was okay, I wasn't going to bother her nose. So then she hugged me back and told me she loved me....

Awwwwwwww! I remember this elderly neighbor lady told me to try this and it worked great! To keep a kiddo occupied while cooking dinner, put them in high chair, put a drop of honey on their hands and give them a feather! Keeps them occupied until you take the feather and wash their hands!!!
