Recently there has been alot of talk about honesty and fake profiles etc... My philosophy has always been you can't believe everything you see. I have received quite a few messages from men that I am pretty sure were not what they seemed. Most had a very poor grasp of the english language. But yesterday I got a message from a man who had his "real" name as his ID. In his profile it listed him as married, sounded nice when I read it, but also listed the business he owned. I thought that was odd for a married man. I never would have even seen this profile if it weren't for the message I received from him
Hi. I'm 40, white, in a sexless marriage, landscape business owner who is ready to spend time with someone who will show me some affection. Willing to travel, but must keep secret from my wife. Call me and let's get to know each other. This was followed by a name, a full address and 2 phone numbers. I wrote back telling the guy that he was taking an awful chance just putting that info out there because somebody could call his wife. Today when I logged on he had never read my message but his account had been cancelled. So I called the number I was given and spoke to the man himself, I told him that I didn't care if it was him, I'm not here to judge someone for why they are on this site, but if it wasn't he might want to know that his name and address had been used to proposition women. Apparently it wasn't him .... go figure, but he thinks it is perhaps someone that owes him money and he is in the process of suing. He apparently has had some problems with this guy. The moral of this is... anybody can put your info out there for any reason they want. And no matter how much you think you know somebody online... you don't.
