So I started training to run a half marathon body is quite unhappy with me, especially all my old sports injuries. But oh well, I feel like crap but I am proud of myself.

On the bright side the longer you train, the more your body will appreciate it. And you start feeling good instead of feeling like crap. You just have to convince your body to accept your new habbits.

My son and his mom just finished the iron man qualifier for hawaii. Now neither of them qualified for Hawaii, but just the feat of finishing the ironman or any endurance quest will give you such a rush and feeling of acomplishment.(ironman-2.4mi swim-112 mi bike ride and a full marathon 26.2mi run). they started with the smaller races and progressed up to the ironman. I have run some of the smaller races and there are tons of people along the route to cheer and support you.Good luck-it pays off in big dividends in the long haul. Keep us posted with the progress.

I probably should do my second run for the week tomorrow, but I just am still so freaking sore. I only have to run 3 times this week according to my program, so I guess I could put it off another day. I'm sure in a week or two I won't be getting quite as sore.
