Hey Ya'll! I love the summer time. Being a nudist I get to go out and enjoy communing with nature, work in my vegetable garden - oh in case anyone remembers, the Russian Black Crims are delicious! Not as sweet as say a Beefsteak but that li'l tang in 'em makes them wonderfull!
I'm not really on the 'puter much this time of year. Don't really want to waste my time sittin' in my chair typin' away (hunt n' peck method, lol) when I can be out doing something. Yeah, I'm not one to blow off this time of year bein' cooped up inside, sharing my lust for life with the air conditioner... Naw, I'd rather be outside playing vollyball, takin' walks, sleepin' out under the stars and just generally enjoyin' these precious months while I can. 'Sides, I figure that if ya haven't found a summer romance by now, ya just ain't gonna so why waste my time (and fingers) on the pc, right? When the weather turns cold and the sun waves bye-bye way too early each night, then I'll accept my pennance and return to the computer.
Ah, here's one ya'll may like: My dad (75 yrs young) has bought a bicycle and decided to take bike rides around his neighborhood, my mom passed on recently and so now he has no one to go touring with him. Well I've bought I nice touring bike (bicycle, folks - no motor, just peddles) and have takin' to ridin' with him. Yep, 'cause fer one, I'm concerned about his health an' two, I knew he'd enjoy the company. We're both perfectionists and it's pretty funny to see us tearin' down these bikes and rebuildin' them to our standards 'cause the idiots at the factory just don't take the time to do it right. I had to laugh as we both agonizied over the placement of reflectors (wrong angle) and adjusting the brakes and deraileurs to each of our own liking. Every detail was scrutinized and corrected until we were satisfied with our bikes, small adjustments made after each ride until they were perfect.
Oh, yeah - then there were the goodies and accessories that we had to go back for at the store, for me a small carrier that fits on the back of the bike from the seat post, gotta have that. For him a nice big, plush air cushioned seat (I did have to laugh he first bought the bike and I saw the seat, knew he wouldn't like that hard skinny cheek spreader, lol), and a water bottle. I think he may go back for the carrier as he liked it after he saw it on mine. He's still not completely satisfied with it though as it doesn't have fenders. He wants crome fenders front and back so he doesn't get splashed with water (doesn't bother me and my seat's already pretty comfy), so I'm out looking fer fenders wherever I can to put on his bike (told ya he's a perfectionist and won't be satisfied until he's got fenders, I'll find 'em one way or another, lol)
Ah well, the sun's shinin' an' I got's to go. Have fun ya'll and don't get on each other's throats too much...
