there were winks here...then gone, now back...what do you want as a result of a wink?

I prefer just to e-mail. Winks can not tell you what's on your mind (unless you are looking at you face to face). winks can't express the joy in someone's being or the sorrow in the heart.
so I just prefer to send e-mails. They can be deleted or rejected just as easily as the winks.
Since I have an abundance of kudos, have 1 of mine.

Say what you will....winks serve their purpose....If you saw someone, say, in a grocery store, that you thought was attractive, would you just start talking about yourself, or would you smile at them?....winks are just that...a smile...to say "i've found you attractive, take a look at me"

In the past, i felt the wink was a polite, precursor to contact here.
I had the impression, at the time, that people didn't appreciate unsolicited e mails. So i would wink first.
But since they are back, i find they're just a fun little thing that says "hi": no ulterior motive, just hey.
Now i realize you've never liked my sense of humor, but i winked you anyhow.

ok winks r just a way to let the women ur interested she should read the guys profile to see if she might b interested if so wink back and i would send a more detailed messags but i dont think i could keep writing long messages to every women i may b interested in talking to its just to gauge ur interest in me nothing bad about it

Many of the pay sites will let you wink for free, so I suppose newbies send winks just cuz they are used to them. And if somene winks back, maybe they take a chance and pay up and hope she replies for real.
On here...... once people are aware it's a free site....... and they still send winks...... I guess they are either too shy to send a letter, or they are tired of writing letters only to see them get trashed with no reply. It gets old.
So, if someone winks.... and you like their profile.... wink back. It's quick & easy. AND....... you have to admit it's better than........

I think from a male viewpoint, as has already been said, it is a polite, unobtrusive way of introducing yourself to a young lady hoping that she will view your profile and if she is interested, she may make contact. However, just as DB said, she wonders why the man didn't just email. Some women won't even respond to winks because they feel that if you couldn't take the time to write a few words, why should they afford you any time in return. A very valid point.
I sent out three winks when I first got here last week. Nothing. All the emails I have written have garnered a response. NONE of my emails say anything like, "Nice tits, wanna fuck?" Shit like that doesn't work in the real world, why would they think it works here.
Ironially, when a woman sends a wink, it works exactly as stated in my first sentence. Someone sent me a wink, I checked the profile and pics, liked what I saw and read, and sent an email. Pretty cool if ya ask me.
Great question, DB. I might have to wink at you now.... lol
