Okay everyone, I am on a small tangent tonight and it stems from people who just don't get it and always pull the race card. Skin color is not an issue with me at all, period. You make your choiuces in life and deal with the consequences. I am talking about the Michael Vic dog fighting thing, yes you are all sick of hearing about it. But what gets me really upset is that the NAACP pulls the race card. Being black has nothing to do with what he did. Pleading guilty is not just an option to get a lesser sentence, well it can be I guess but it also means you would probably have faired worse off in court. I am tired of the race card being used and saying the blackk man has suffered. Through history they have and that's just it, it's history, try not to repeat it. I hope that the judge that passes sentence on Michael Vic, forgets that he is a super star, and gives him a sentence like anyone else that would have done the same crime no matter the color of your skin. Mr. Vic knew what he was doing was wrong cut and dry, and he was caught. And you can see who his real friends are, they rolled on him and gave up the information to save their own ass. Just remember when you choose friends, and they seem to be leading you down the wrong road, they will never have your back if your caught in the wrong. I am also glad that the NFL has indefinetly suspended him. Same goes for all famous people, pisses me off when they get off easy. Do the crime, do the time. So if any of you agree with the NAACP or that this is racism, you need to evaluate your thinking as far as I am concerned.

A very close friend of mine is a black man. His race has nothing to do with friendship. I respect the man. He's a good man. He takes responsibility for his own actions and doesn't point the finger. He's an honest man. He expects that of his friends. I couldn't care less about his race. It's how I see him as a man.

i agree.race seems to be an issue of convience.the choices we make have nothing to do with color but it is certainly used for an excuse.

I agree....And would like to suggest to the NAACP that they do their homework....back in the "slave" days, one of the most popular sports was to put 2 slaves in a cage, and have them fight to the death, and bet on the outcome.....To those who want to pull the race card regarding this incident......does this fact ring a bell?

Don't be upset with the NAACP, whose officers and workers need dues-paying members to sustain their salaries. The real culprits are the mindless and disgruntled "customers" with a persecution complex who lap this type of reverse-racism up. There is no supply without the demand to drive it.
I remember now the last time I commented on your blog (about the media focusing on inconsequential matters) I also said the same thing about demand and supply. Dayum ... either I'm a one-trick horse OR most absurd situations can be explained by the Neanderthal mentality of the masses ... lol.
