Dogs need attention and don't like being alone, cats are more independent and okay if left alone all day, they don't mind as long as they have food and water. Do you think people who seek attention would be more likely to have a dog and those who are more quiet and less of an attention seeker would choose a cat for a pet? I'm thinking maybe people who own dogs like to be in control, since you have to train a dog and to do that you must be it's master. I think I'm more of a cat person, but I also like dogs.

I am a cat person, what does that mean, I only have cats. I live in an apartment and don't have time to give a dog the kind of attention it would need. but i do like dogs i walk the neighbors dog cause i dont like to see it tied up all the time.

Although I like cats and dogs --BIg Dogs-- I have neither any more. I forget to come home sometimes and that's not a good thing when you have animals. So I have my fish. I have the light on a timer and my neighbor will come over and drop some food in if I call her to.

Love cats, dogs squirrels, trools, whatever, but have a cat, more low maintenance. Does that make me a lazy bastard? Oh well, whatever I love em all but an old saying goes 'cat people should marry cat people and dog people should marry dog people." There might be something to be said for that logic.

I have a blind, and deaf dog, shes 8 years old, and was born that way. we went swimming in the creek today, (she loves it). I like cats too....tast like chicken!

One dog...my loyalist companion...one African Grey...who adores me...but I'm afraid the feeling is not mutual...can't form an attachment to a "chicken"...he should be free...but I try to the give him a good life...and finally two angel fish.....
My dog is the best though...he's great for loving on...everybody needs touch...so I spoil him...the girls at the Dairy Queen know him...he gets his own sausage patty...and boy does he have a jealous streak over the bird....drama big time...

I prefer cats over dogs but I do love both...Cats are low maintaince and dogs require walks and training which at my age right now I prefer not to be involved with for a while.
