This is a tune by one of my favorite souther rock bands, (being from the south I kinda favor southern rock bands). Through the years I found myself cryin' in my beer plenty of times while listin' to this tune. It's just that it always hit home damnit.Hope you enjoy it. Here it is from the LP Eat A Peach, The Allman Brothers Band, Whipping Post [Live]
I've been run down I've been lied to I don't know why, I let that mean woman make me a fool She took all my money wrecks my new car now she's with one of my good time buddies they're drinkin' in some cross town bar
sometimes I feel sometimes I feel like I've been tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post good lord I feel like I'm dyin'
My friends tell me that I've been such a fool and I have to stand down and take it babe, All for lovin' you I drown myself in sorrow As I look at what you've done nothin' seems to change bad times stay the same and I can't run
sometimes I feel sometimes I feel like I've been tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post good lord I feel like I'm dyin'
sometimes I feel sometimes I feel like I've been tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post tied to the whipping post good lord I feel like I'm dyin'

Good tune- GREAT band.Great album. Duane died during the time they were recording that album. The widespread story regarding the origin of the album's title, 'Eat a Peach', that the truck involved in Duane Allman's fatal motorcycle accident was a peach truck, is not correct; the truck involved was actually a flatbed lumber truck. The name actually came from something Duane said in an interview shortly before he was killed. When asked what he was doing to help the anti-war effort, Duane replied, "There ain't no revolution, it's evolution, but every time I'm in GeorgiaI EAT A PEACH FOR PEACE; THE TWO LEGGED GEORGIA VARIETY...." Speaking of Eating a peach...I'm a little hungry...
