One of my past musical blogs was a tune by John Fogarty of CCR fame. This tune was done after the breakup of CCR on a solo album named Centerfield. Well the album didn't go far, unfortunately, the only tune that got much airplay was the title track Centerfield which was a good tune don't get me wrong. Being a baseball fan from way back that tune spoke to me but the tune that spoke even louder, to me that is, was I Saw it on TV. Why you ask. Well it's very simple and yet rather complex at the same time. To begin with you would have to be a "baby boomer" or just "boomer" as we are referred to these days.
For those of you out there that don't know what the hell boomers are it does not refer to anything explosive in the traditional sense ie; hand grenades, bombs, dynamite, tnt, nukes or IED's. However it does refer to an explosion of another kind, a baby explosion. You see the returning GI's from WW2 and their wives started doin some serious fuckin'. So as a result of all that hot sex, there were a shitload of babies bein' born between say 1946 and 1952. As a result if you were born in any one of those years you are a "boomer". See I told you it was simple yet complex. Anyway being born in 1951 I'm an official, genuine, dyed in the wool, card carrying "boomer".
Which brings me back to the core reason for all this rambling. If you are a boomer then the lyrics to I Saw it on TV make sense. If you're not a boomer then they don't. In other words kiddies, you had to be there.
Well there's one particular line that is the focus of this blog and that line is "A-bomb fears, Annette had ears, I lusted in my heart." Now to the point (finally, jeez). Annette Funicello was a mouseketeer, thus the ears, but she had another feature, besides her striking good looks, that made all of us boys notice her and "lust in our hearts". Annette had titties, cute lil titties. Disney did everything they could to "flatten her chest" so that those cute lil titties weren't noticeable, to no avail, they were there and little boys across were having wet dreams about them. I know I sure as hell did. I mean it wasn't like we hadn't seen women with boobs, hell your mother had boobs but you didn't see or think of these women the way you saw and thought of Annette. And she came to your house every week and gave you more material for your fantasies. It was heaven. And I think that to this day that is why I have a thing about tiny titties. Don't get me wrong, I love all kinds of boobs, small medium and large. I don't however like these artificially inflated boobs. Maybe its just me but I think they look like a couple of soccer ball on the womans chest, no I like the naturally large breast. Ladies, be happy and make the most of what god gave you. Augmentation is not needed. Anyway I think I've solved the problem that's plagued me all these years, Why I am so attracted to tiny titties. I mean the word itself rolls off your tongue so nicely, "titties". And large breasts are not titties folks, that is a term reserved to the lil, cute ones. Titties, you know I love em.

For you it was Annette, for me it was Farrah. Watching Charlies Angels every week. The braless crime fighters that they were. And who can forget that poster, that smile, that red swimsuit, those perky nipples. I got a t shirt with that poster pic on it when I was a kid. Only years later when she posed for playboy did we finally get to see those huge perky nipples that grabbed our attention so many years earlier. Ahhhh the memories....

"Centerfield", the song, died around here on radio a long time ago. Begging your pardon, but at least in Texas, one song from the album you did not mention was popular and is still played on the classic rock stations around here today, "The Old Man Down the Road".
