I don't think I've ever grown this much (maturity wise) in such a short time period of roughly 3 months. This past summer I've been interning near DC at a Patent Law Office. Coming in I didn't really know what to expect except that I would be learning and hopefully growing-up due to the experiences I would have. No, I didn't have sex, still holding on to that one.
Before I came to Virginia I thought I was pretty mature, which I was, but I didn't realize how much maturing I still had left. I'm sure I still have a ton more to do as well. Now I'm more independent, assertive, and confident with my talents concerning the professional world. Now I just have to get through two more years of college and 3 or 4 years of law school.
All of the regular bloggers on this site helped in me through the summer. You guys entertain and educate (sometimes at the same time) through your words of insightfullness, encouragement, compassion, and hilarity. You are one group of people that held constant for me this summer as everything else was changing at such a fast pace.
Now I get to go back to where things all make sense, where the cows lazily graze in the fields, and the corn is beginning to reach maturity for harvesting. I haven't seen a cow or corn field in three months!
DC, you've been great, but Ohio's calling me home.
