I had a bleakly beautiful moment of loneliness this morning. Awaking sick of awakening alone. Without thought I took the nearest pillow and laid it parallel next to me. Then on my side, I let my right arm cast over it, then clutched it as though it were the sweet smelling soft warm body of a lover joining me.
While a pillow will never bring the same comforts as that -- for a few minutes at least -- I blissfully lay confessed to just how good my life really is.

i understand the sentiment. it's good. I gotta use the extra pillow between my knees, to keep my hips from hurting tho.

Is that what my problem is? I got into the habit of sleeping without a pillow years ago. Now, I feel like I've done some kind of injustice to pillows everywhere. So, all of you please snuggle up with your pillows for me. [It didn't come out quite right, but I think you know what I mean.]

I've got 4 great big, fluffy, king-sized pillows...2 behind my head and one on either side of me. I've always got something to cuddle. Prefer a warm body, but a big pillow works (it has to...grrrrrr!  )
