Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country
lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, wild animals attacking humans
in Florida.
Not me. I concentrate on solutions to problems. The result is a
win-win-win situation:
+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border
+ Use the dirt to raise the levees in New Orleans
+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat.

Now can you solve the problem of the Muslim terrorists in the UK and give us a decent less taxing government and then give back the smokers rights to smoke in public bars (providing adequate air filtration systems have been installed and the smoking areas clearly marked) then I would make you Queen of the UK.

Hell, Miss M, most of the flora and fauna of Florida will either sting you, stab you, bite you, or try to eat you. And that don't include either the rednecks or the crackers, who will also try to beat you, stab you, bite you, or eat you.

I live in the midwest which is full of slaughterhouses and farming of every kind. You can't get the "legal" lower class to work those jobs with any type of stability because they are always looking for something better (more $, more benefits, restlessness, etc...), however the Hispanic population (legal/illegal) are more loyal toward the jobs and do a good job as well.
While I dislike the fact that illegals are pooring into the country, my family didn't sail through Ellis Island either in the 1850s. They just sailed from Ireland to Massachusettes Bay and took a long train ride to the west and started pounding spikes in track (near your mountain ranges) for the Union Pacific Railroad. They were desperate and did what they had to do to survive.
We view them and others from Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, France differently because they are part of the rugged times of a new nation, even though that land mass was being settled and populated since the mid-1600s in abundance. However, 150 years later when a different race of people are looking to better themselves, we treat them as villians.
Amazing, another instance of timing and point of view, eh?

Not meaning to take away your moment of insight... but this is my take on it.
+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border - They already swim the river between Mexico and Texas.
+ Use the dirt to raise the levees in New Orleans - Building taller walls will only make it hold more water.
+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat. - There are already alligators in the Rio Grande.... that's why most Mexicans have gatorskin boots, belts, and wallets.
I say we go down in the middle of the night and swap all there road signs to point them south... its only a temporary fix.... but its still more then the idiots in the white house have come up with so far....

In the 1700's we were not feeding and providing medical care for everyone who wanted a peice of freedom. We now now spend billions on housing, medical, and even unemployment for illegal aliens. If we were to only cut all spending on illegals, we could actually eliminate the federal defecit, and better treat the people how actually paid thier taxes for those services in the first place. Instead, multitudes of people wait in busy hospitals behind non paying illegals because they managed to aquire "refugee" statues which makes them more important. The difference between the people who started this country and the illegals now is the fuonding fathers moved here and stayed and so did their money. Illegals from mexico only stay here for a few months at a time and then take all their money back with them tax free. They have no interest in living in the US, they only want the money. Instead of all pulling together and making their own country better by eliminating the corrupt government, they would rather sponge off people who's family invested hard work and alot of time into making this a better country. It's still a work in progress, but it will surely loose its footing if backstabbing jerkoffs like decaturnooner keep reffering to money smuggling non citizens as our new working class. Hey wait....I found an answer to all our problems.... lets all move to Mexico, become citizens, and then come work in the US illegal so we don't have to pay taxes! Maybe he is on to something there..... at least until the US economy plunges too deep and we have to find anouther country to sponge off of.

Someone trying to better themself is good. Someone trying to better themself at the expense of others is wrong unless given permission. Its not an issue of I don't want them here, its an issue of I don't want them freeloading without at least asking first. There is a legal process in which people come to this country to work. However a great majority of Mexicans choose not to use this legal process to bypass the taxes and the security (however weak it may be... still better then letting every anti-american suicide bomber through the gates). The funny part is of all the millions of immigrants trying to come to this country, people only seem to want the mexicans to have free roam.... isn't that discrimination to say that only mexicans should bypass the legal system. Or are you really saying that we should let ALL immigrants in with no checks or legal process and try and feed 10 billion illegal aliens with the -$1,000,000,000,000,000 that we already don't have!? No matter how compasionate you may want to be... you can't help the world if you can't even help yuorself. We need to at least focus on fixing our nation before handing over the key to everyone else. After all... even a used car dealer tends to polish the turds up before selling them off!
