As we all know, life has its fair share of ups and downs, and love is no exception to this rule. Falling in love is a magical experience unmatched by any other (save for the birth of a child); however, as childhood so graciously taught most of us, "falling" does not occur without a few bumps and bruises along the way. Just like the scars from our past, the damage the heart faces often seems irreparable. Nevertheless, once we finally realize that picking ourselves up and dusting ourselves off is not nearly as impossible as we first thought, then we acquire the ability to learn from these tribulations, leaving us even stronger and better prepared to handle the next "fall" that comes our way. Allow me to paint a mental picture of a bruise that my heart once endured. Keep in mind that time has healed the pain, and my heart loves even stronger now, without reservations.
Tear Stained Love
Tears fall once again... My broken heart lies bleeding... I know not what I’ve done to cause this pain that surrounds me... I search inside myself but remain blinded by the darkness... The answers cleverly elude me though the questions linger on... I wish I knew how to stop this vicious cycle... Because with each ride I take I’m left with more emptiness, more loneliness, more heartache than before... I long to feel the love that escaped me not long ago... As the feeling of unworthiness overtakes me, I hang my head and continue to cry... Knowing that tear stained cheeks are only a fraction of a broken soul...
