So I been buying some lately ,some from walmart and some from a friend, all about the same price, found some really good ones today at Walmart for 5.00 and typically thats what a "boot" costs. So tell me how extensive is your collection, do you buy ? Do you sell? Seems to be pretty lucrative, another friend says it costs bout .50 to burn them .... so a 4.50 profit .... probably better profit than walmart gets.

I have a little over 500 movies on DVD...and I've paid anywhere from 5.00 in the Wal Mart bin of death as I like to call them...and you're right. If you look hard enough, you can find some really good movies in there!

And I've paid on up to 20.00...only to find them a few months later at half the price...

I buy of course, and only sell if and when I buy a movie that I thought I'd like because it looked like it'd be a good movie...and that's only happened maybe 5-6 times out of all I've bought!

As for burning them, it costs very little...all ya need is a blank DVD...however, I don't burn movies...but I do and have burned CD's for myself and a few friends...

Sometimes I buy (between VHS and DVD have around 300) but if I burn a movie I get it from Dish! Can DVR it, watch it and if it's one that I really like, burn it for keeps! But music I burn off all the time! Love to make my own mixes for the car and office so if it gets to hot in the car or someone steals it from the office, not a great loss!

i'm like Ash I'm a netflix girl, but i do burn copies of them which is legal unless you sell those copies which are not!!! i have probably close to 300 movies and there is probably only about 20 that i have bought from a store.

I have about 30 music DVDs. I use to have Lord of the Rings, the Simpsons, and probably some others, but I gave them away. I don't burn or buy burned, but I doubt I'd hold it against anyone if they were interested in bootlegs.

I don't even own a DVD player, cept the one in my computer, and I just got that one a couple months ago. I own exactly 2 DVD's... Shrek 2 and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I have about 20 movies on VHS... but I don't know how to hook the VHS player to my TV, so I can't watch em. I'm not a huge movie watcher, so it's not that big of a deal.

I started out buying them and I have a good 100 or so...all great ones of course . But about 3 years ago I finally got the burning software and have become a Blockbuster (a BETTER form of netflix ) fan. I currently have a lot of movies that I probably shouldnt have burned, but you'll have that.

I buy used DVD's on amazon. I like the convenience and that way
I can loan them out to friends. I have never gone wrong buying the ones
that are "like new" condition.

I would rather just rent movies, but my husband has a collection of about 300!!!!
