Independence Day used to mean going to the football field and watch the fireworks, pretending that all of our summers were carefree. This year it means living 500 miles (or 8 hours/drive) away in a house by myself that is usually filled with my cousin and his family. What to do with this new found freedom? And since it is Independence Day I will at least go to a place good for watching DC's fireworks.
