My days are numbered as far as summer vacations go, because this fall I will be a Junior at the Miami University (aka. MOFO as in Miami OF Ohio). Last summer was my last summer to work at a summer job while living in my parents house. This summer I had to get out of Ohio, its too....uh...normal. Ohio makes too much sense.
In order to get the ordinary off of me I decided to take a chance and live and work in the DC area. When I first came out here I lived in Centreville, 30 miles away from my place of occupation, but that translates into over an hour of driving time or mass transit commuting time. Thankfully I have cousin, with whom I'm always been close as far as cousin relationships go in my family. Up until, well, now he did not have enough room for both me and his family, comprising (sorry, legalese has infected me) his wife and two toddler/baby daughters. But as of 10am tomorrow morning, I will be a part of his household, hopefully I will be able to stay out of family affairs and live there like it was an apartment I was renting. Otherwise I'm afraid I might step on my cousin-in-law's toes for unintentionally taking her husbands time away from being spend w/her.
Anyway, I'm excited to start living closer to where the action is, right in Alexandria VA. If anybody out there knows of a good place for 20 y/olds to hang out I would appreciate the advise, in fact, any and all advice is welcomed.
