I just wondered how many of yall take anti depressants? Are you ashamed to admit it ? I was taking cymbalta since I had gotten sick, but it seem to casue me more trouble than it was helping .......even caused me to have dry gums, dry skin, dry all over .... it was not pretty, gave me nightmares, night sweats, just general ill all day .........
I have now changed to celexa. Anybody had it ? Worked better/worse than previous brands?
I wanna find my smile again .......

I deal with a lot of pressure, and I pop a xanax when I feel like I need someone to talk me down off whatever cliff I feel like I'm standing at. There's nothing wrong with it. There are negative chemicals out there that hinder your ability to live a normal life, but there are also positive drugs that help you manage your life.

Shawn Michaels is known for "losing his smile" and he parlayed a 2 year storyline from it.
Think positive! You might get someone to give you 25 months!

When I had a stress related heart attack in 2003, they put me on Xanax, now while I can't take the prescribed dosage and still move, when I feel on the edge I take one (depending on how high that edge is I take two!) Nothing wrong with it!

I have only taken anti-depressants once. I was literally bouncing off the walls and now, on the rare occasions I get depressed, I don;t take anything and get myself out of the mess. That or talk to my friends and family who always manage to make me smile.

Celexa is okay, doesn't seem to do a whole lot...but doesn't have nearly the side affects as, say Effexor...stay away from that!! I'm doin Paxil now, small dose, still hagin on. Good luck kid.

I think I have tried almost every anti-depressent there is out there to try and help me. None of them seemed to work or if they did it was for a short time only. I was on Cymbalta for a while.
Right now I am not on any and really need to be. By the way xanax is not a anti-depressent is it for your nerves.
I took Lexapro for a while. I stopped taking them one day and I went through some bad withdrawls from it. I didn't know what was going on until I looked it up on the internet.
Good Luck

I take ativan =nerve medication along with some form of anti depressant and have for a long time, I have many shades of blue sometimes, always have had, but the stroke made it worse. The cymbalta made my mouth and skin very very dry , to the point I had cracking , and my gums hurt ...... bout killed me coming off of em, I could not sleep, nightmares when I did , terrible night sweats, just bad all over ..however I do have something to help me sleep which in turn will help the days. I am not a poster child for Cymbalta

Been there with Wellbutrin, but not any more. Try and keep smiling, cause you have a beautiful one.
