The Age of Love posted 6/25/2007 11:29:14 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   midlife138 Yeah, so I just got done watching the stupid show, "The Age of Love". This show is rediculous really. If the guy was not a tennis star would the ladies still be lineing up to be with this man. I didn't see him making the women laugh or anything like that and just about every on line ad from women says that they want a guy to make them laugh. If I was famous I guess I would have those problems too,But I really wouldn't want a woman who just wants me for my money. What are other people's views on these type of shows? 	I agree. I don't like the concept of the show, but damned if I didn't watch more than half of it anyway! What is it about these shows that irritates me yet sucks me in? In this case, my guess is that he will end up with one of the 20-somethings in her mid to upper 20's, only because it is closest to his age (30). The show that followed (at least here in the eastern states) was something about a guy choosing a girl and planning a date vs. a girl being 'scientifically' chosen for him with the date planned by 'experts' to make him fall in love. I didn't watch that one, I came up to check out some blogs and the chat room. My Dad has a really good theory on reality shows: they're really low-budget (very few if any high-paid well-known actors) so the networks/producers/etc end up making more money from them than from sit-coms and dramas where actors develop a fan-following and start asking for more money. Reality shows get new cheap 'actors' every season, if not every episode. It's a good racket. They also appeal to society's (in general) short attention sp.......

	It's ridiculous, the women just want to be on TV promoting themselves, some of them are making fools of themselves. The women probably are not being paid, the winner gets the guy. All I want to know is why that guy can't find a woman and if he is being paid....well we know it's harder for a man.
