Now, have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? I'm sure ya have at some time or another. Well, if ya haven't go ahead and take a look now...
Ok, did you see your reflection, notice how pretty you were? Well that's good but I want you to look a little bit more..go on, I'll wait.
Ah - ok, took the time to notice your surroundings? See how the light plays on your skin and the objects in the room with you? Cool, move around a bit and admire yourself - it really is ok. Did you notice your eyes? Watch as the light played along the irises? Yeah, that's okay, but ya ain't there yet...
Alright now your lookin' past all that right? The light fades just a little. The image get's a little fuzzy? It's cool, take that journey my friend - I'll wait.
Now see? We're entering the land of Id, Ego and Superego, purely superficial words to describe who you are. Not what, what is also superficial. No, it's the who that we want. This is called introspection, looking inside to see who you are. If you want what you'll have to back out a bit and make a list. Here we are seeking who and this is where there are no rights nor wrongs, only you. Here you peel away the layers of all your wants and needs to see you. It's not an emotional trip, no it's just you and all the experiences you have lived thru to become who you are now. Oh, you do know that you still have to dig a little deeper to get to the core you, don't you? Yeah, you really do. Here, yeah we're here. The person that was born, the one that has no experience to draw on, the real you.
What do you see now? Is it good? It's all good - you can believe that. It's all good here. Ok, relax and take a deep breath, exhale. Alright, now....take a look at yourself...

I take a look at myself quite frequently. I used to be a shit stirrer. Belive me I learned my lesson well with all that. Now I try to be the person I want to know, sometimes I slip, but more times than not I am that person. I just wish more people could be that way. It would make the world a much nicer place to exist.

LOL, the mirror was just a focal point. A metaphore, if you will as a means of taking some time to understand who you are - not what you want or what you think you want. All that comes later, along with all the emotional ties that goes with it. No bitchin' here, no desires - just you. Just the you that exists for no one but yourself. No, it's not being selfish remember, I said no desires here.
No, it's only the core you with all that life has to offer. You are an open book waiting to be written, the page is not blank. It merely doesn't have all that clutter of editing remarks or sentence structure added. The ink is fresh and the paper crisp and clean. What you write on it is purely up to you. Do you remember the wonder of seeing things for the first time? Wasn't it all beautiful then?
Ah, don't mind me, I'm merely amused by my muse..

Ok now that I have a serious moment in which to properly type this out... I am very good with who I am. I am not at all fond of my reflection in the mirror.. but the reflection of my inner light.. pleases me. I am who I want to be. Well.. minus some serious cash.. but other than that.. I'm good with me. I realize that not everyone else will be good with who I am and wish that I were someone else.. that's not going to happen any more. I am who I am.. and that's who I am gonna remain.. even though that will shift from time to time.. it will be on my terms.
