Ok, I'm sure YOU'RE here right now, because your curiosity got the better of you.. So, let me just let you down right now, and say, no, this isn't about sex..
It's about taking a time out.. I've read a few blogs on the site, and it makes me stop and think. Folks like to grumble and leave this site for various reasons. Heck, I LOVE to pitch a bitch quite a bit. But I have the wisdom to know when to stop taking my petty issues too seriously.
SO, every once in a while, I just stop doing whatever I'm doing, and I watch a squirrel. I peer out my window, into my backyard ( which at times resembles Wild Kingdom ) I have a rabbit, groundhog ( bastard keeps digging holes in my F#%^ING yard and he's gonna take a bullet ), more birds than you swing a dead cat at, and of course, a squirrl or two..
But the squirrel is fun to watch. They ( I say they, cause I don't look THAT hard, so I don't see little squirrel nuts or a hoohoo ), anyway, the squirrel is always out looking for food. But while the rodent looks for food, it takes time to admire the landscape, it romps and hops about. When it climbs a tree, it will jump and teeter from branch to branch. Sometimes, it will run along a powerline. Running down a thin wire with minimal effort. You can just tell that the squirrel is enjoying what it's doing no matter what it's doing..
Sometimes, I see two squirrels, and they stop working to chase one another around. It's truly relaxing, to see a creature not take life so damn seriously. Not get stressed about what it should be doing, who it wants to be doing what with, or just sitting there bitching.. It just enjoys its day..
I also like to watch hawks, for much the same reason.. except they just like to soar in the breeze..
We can all learn a lot from watching a squirrel.. I hope you have too..

Thank God. A voice of sanity in the wilderness. I was beginning to think we were going to have to get the fire dept to hose the group down & cool 'em off. 2 threatened to leave, one did leave..... I know it's the internet, but the concept of friends SHOULD still apply. My best friend and I disagree on lots of stuff, but we have a policy of agreeing to disagree. Listen to what people say without thinking of how you want them to change. Just listen. Agree or not, but see if you can learn something in the process.
Ok now........ Group hug all around. (bitches & assholes too)

If you have a bird feeder the squirrel will soon become your enemy, this i know. I have wired my bird feeder with 120 to shock there little asses, but there too dam stupid or stubborn to learn from this because there back 5 minutes later, the lead pill would be much better but i don't have the heart to do it. Its really funny, when i give them the zap they jump down off of the feeder on to my deck railing and look in my patio doors at me as if to say , what the fuck do you think your doing,... its my ass you know, and you know there right because i have been fighting with those little bastards for the last ten years, and i'm still paying for the bird feed, oh well some you win but most you lose. God i hate to admit but bushy has got the best of me. Grinnnnnnnnnnnn and bear it..............LOL

Hawks around? I bet they are watching the squirrels too... wouldn't worry about your bird feeder either. With a hawk in the air, ain't no bird sitting out in the open to eat.
When they strike though it's damn impressive an explosion of feathers! (or fur as the case may be...)
