I just got some tragic news this week. A good friend and collegue of mine passed away from severe injuries after his home went up in flames. Aside from the shock and the grief (I had just seen him at work on a movie set 12 days ago), I have a message for all out there.

Don't wait until it's too late to express your love and affection for someone you care deeply about. Whether it be a loved one, family member, friend, spouse or significant other, even a pet. I URGE YOU TO CELEBRATE LIFE AND SPREAD GOOD VIBES AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN.

Beleive me, take it from someone who knows grief all too well (I have lost five people very close to my heart within the last decade).

Life is beautiful, even if it's unfair at times......

as you are all aware of my pic i am in constant contact with death in iraq as a young soldier, i have lost 5 of my best friends so far, but you can't dwell on it, man! you need to accept what happened and talk about it more like now to get over this pile of shit in the road, death constantly happens to all us citizens, you just can't stop it, so talk about it more, especially with the ones who loved him! TRUST ME!

I am sorry for your loss as well as for those who also loved your friend. Just remember that grief is something that we all have to go through...and if you're going through something, you'll come out the other side.

It is getting a little better now that my brain has processed the fact that my buddy is gone. It's weird, those first few minutes when you wake up and think it was all a bad dream... then reality hits you like a ton of bricks.
