I've always had a lousy time getting out of bed before 9am, even when I was up at 7am. I'm more likely to stay awake until 5am than to even notice my alarm trying to rouse me at such an ungodly hour. I am as close to the walking dead as one with a pulse can be for about an hour after I've started walking. Even after brushing my teeth three times per day I have morning breath so bad that authorities mandated mouthwash on my nightstand. I'm fated to be a late riser.
"Morning People" seem to all have one thing in common -- they can't leave me the hell alone until I come out of bed myself. My date from last night is a woman I've gone out with casually a few times now after hitting it off with her fairly well when we met. She decided to wake up about two hours ago (4:00am!) so she could get a jump on her day and insisted it was time for me to get out of bed. Not cool.
Now, I LOVE waking up early for one of those initially-half-conscious morning romps which we all know and love, though I'm quite content to fall asleep afterward. That isn't what happened this morning much to my chagrin. It was simply, "I'm waking up, so I'm waking you up."
This indicates a major incompatibility. I probably won't be seeing her again. Last night's date was more of a means to get us both laid which didn't even happen due to too much tequila for her when we went out. We're both simply seeing each-other every once and again for sex, but when there's no sex and no sleeping in on my day off afterwards there's no more reason to keep on seeing her.
I really don't mean to sound shallow here, and I'm not going to do some bastardly thing like ignore her when she calls. I'm simply going to tell her, when she asks if I'd like to go out, that I'd rather not anymore. I think she'll understand and move on to greener casual sex pastures, she's rather intelligent and we've already had the "Free to go at any time" talk.
If you'll excuse me I'm going back to bed for another three or four hours
