Maybe it's time to change the format of this site! I mean AdultMatchDoctor by itself, doesn't imply that this site is basically meant to attract people for sexual purposes [both men AND women- whether you choose to believe that or not!] BUT, other wordage certainly implies that that's what this site is!
And please don't sit there and suggest that you [meaning the general subscribers] weren't aware of the contents of this site- that you thought it was just a friendly place [friendly it is- usually] to chat with others!!
Soon as the word "SEX" is seen in the hype, lots of men AND lots of women sign on! Lots of men figure after reading said hype, think that this site is an easy way of getting laid [with some checking their courtesy at the door] but probably in most cases, hopefully meeting a woman or women for friendship too! I might add that the same could be true for women- only more for friendship than for sex. Sex comes later, if they feel it's right for them with the right man.
So to me, keeping the name AMD and changing the format somewhat, by dropping the sex angle and implications thereof, may bring this site back into being fun again! There's a lot of teasing going on [not saying it's bad] that boosts the sexual nature of this site!
Hell... I love sex as much as anyone else but I also know that a few years ago, I got laid more by joining a couple of general match making sites and within a couple of months of each too! It's been six months here now and not even a nibble [so to speak]. Of course I was a little younger and a virile, Nomadic stud puppy back then [well... still virile] but, I digress! 
My point is- if AMD is going to continue to be riddled with discontent, then maybe dropping all of the sexual implications on this site, will result in the sexual innuendos between the sexes, disappearing- making it a more friendly place to meet people!
I don't know, you tell me folks!

I suppose that's true enough but I've been on several other sites [paid] and remember seeing little of all the craziness going on that happens here.
But doing nothing, is only going to make it worse!
I created this blog to generate ideas from the subscribers on what they think might help at least to minimize the nonsense going on here! It's their site- if they like it, then help to fix it!
I may update my blog with an idea I have and others if I can come up with new ones. But then, I guess that depends on the response I get from this blog. Bad timing with Memorial Day but, I'll watch it and see what happens.

I just told a guy the other day that I believe some men use this site as an excuse to not be a gentleman. They think because it is a "sex" site manners are not necessary. All I can say is good luck to them. BTW, I actually had one tell me that maybe matchdoctor would be better suited for me! I have been here for about 6 yrs--the nerve!!

i don't think the word sex has anything to do with it.some people just use hiding behind a comp screen as a a way to be an asshole withouut anyone really knowing who they are.

On the contrary- "sex" [it's implications] and "free" are two of the most powerful words in a very short list of words with pulling power and are the two favorites in the advertising world! Just look around you in magazines, TV and other advertising media!

Granted, I should have put the word "free" in my blog [my mistake]. So if "free" is the reason you joined, well... "free" has very limited options and getting more limited as is the case with most other sex sites.
And the profiles? People take the time to fill them out and their essays. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt of what they say, unless proven otherwise! If what they say isn't true, then they're fakes! Are they doing that to make friends? Or are they here for both friends and sex? If friends only, wrong site- if for friends and sex, then AMD is for them- if for sex only, then AMD is also for them!
So, my view still is that the word "sex" and also "free" are the two words used to pull people in- "free" works for the ladies more so than men and "sex" for men, more so than women but both words pulls both in together!
If all you're looking for is a casual relationship then AMD is not the site for that- MatchDoctor is! And so are several others!

Personally, I agree that talking to a computer makes it easier to put manners aside and be an ass, to push the limits and see where it gets people.
It's harder when you are face to face....probably get your ass kicked....ok if it was me and someone said some of the things I've seen to my face I'd definately feel inclined to take action.  I think we all have the right to be treated with respect.
For me it comes down to choice. I choose to be a woman of integrity. I respect and listen to others here who also have integrity, and laugh at the dumbasses who have no couth.
Notice, I didn't just generalize...men or woman either...

of all the words in the title, and descriptions, that seems to hang things up, it's ADULT that seems most out of place! we all seem to want what we want, but then sometimes have a hard time allowing what someone else wants, to mesh. the thing that constantly drives people away,IMHO, is the bitching, the repetitive "Why" this & that questions. it's not a perfect world, and get's worse all the time. perhaps when we each come to the point in life where we can Ignore the stuff we don't like, or don't reward the bad behavior by acknowledging it, maybe get a few mantras we can recite, while the anger passes; maybe then the site will be fun again. but fun is also in the eye of the beholder. adios.

I had written a long response to your blog but instead i am going to ask you that from now on if your going to post a blog using me as a reference point at least please take the time to read it fully and if you dont understand it than ask. Im sure larry would have been more than happy to give you my email addy had you asked for it and wanted an explanation. Instead of going into a rant that this is a sex site. MY blog was only about common curtesy and being treated with respect. But than i dont really expect you to understand either one.

First, my blog was not a rant, but it was inspired by your blog! Hence the reference to your blog! When you put anything out there on the internet, it is in the public domain- which means: "Property rights that are held by the public at large!" Look it up!
Second, after my blog title, there is no reference to the rest of your blog! What I stated in my blog, has been brought up by many! Did I say "you said this or you said that?" The jist of my blog was to give some facts regarding AMD in general and the fact that it is a sex site and that because of all the commotion going on in AMD between the sexes, in particular! The main crux of my blog was that maybe AMD's format ought to be changed by dropping references to sex, because in my opinion, the words "sex" and "free" are part of the reasons why there are problems that are tearing the site apart!
So at the end, if you read my blog again, you'll see that I restate my thoughts on some things that may help to correct some of the problems going on, on AMD! In my last sentence, I'm asking people what their thoughts are on this problem with AMD.
Now as far as ranting goes- you, in so many words, state right at the very beginning of your blog, that "you're not back [meaning that you're not back as a regular in my view] but that you're only back to rant and that you emphasized that by repeating the word rant.
Ok fine, rant on if you want- I could care less!
As far as respect goes- I might add that you reread your own blog! Because in it, you refer to men as assholes and again emphasize your statement by stating that the majority of men are assholes! To get respect, you give respect! Doesn't matter if they are what you think and say they are in private! You have options on this site to deal with obnoxious people. And calling people assholes, in the public domain, is not one of them! Privately, not a problem- publicly well... as the old saying goes: you reap what you sow!
Lastly- people on AMD reference one another by comment or even blogs on AMD- I've seen both! So why are you jumping all over me, for doing the same thing... especially since no other reference to your blog was made nor did I say anything in anyway about you in particular, that may have been construed as a derogatory statement, of any kind, towards you?

Wow thanks for the lesson in how to act in the blogs. Remember that one of the rules of blogging is not using names in the subject. Had i wanted to be a bitch i could report you but atlas you are not that important in my relm of thinking. MY point was why even bring me into the blog. I was not your inspiration or you would have written on the lack of respect in this site. BUt you went on to talk about the AMD being a sex site. But your right perhaps i shouldnt have said a majority of men are assholes, i should have said there are alot of assholes + 1.

The last day or two I have seen a lot of rants in blogs by various people, even some by my friends. I didn't see any rants in this blog other than just throwing out a few ideas for discussion in it. Not sure if taking out the word "sex" in the format on this site would even help control some of the bad behavior of some people, but hey, ya never know.
