I have all sorts of funny urges all of the time. Just a few moments ago I had the urge to hang upside down from my bed. Earlier this week I had the urge to cry and fight at the same time. Now I have the urge to dance, which I started to do a little because my radio is on. But whenever I indulge myself in these base, silly urges, I find that I soon fulfill my desire and grow tired, or I decide that it wasn’t as great as I thought it was and either way discover that really, I just wasted my time giving into these urges. Just something to ponder for everyone out there.

You need meds mugurl!!
I call those random...not really urges...just things that happen. I don't think about it before doing it...like dancing, or just shaking my tush to the drum beat from the basement...
I did however have the urge to pick a fight with someone today...and lo and behold! Whilst reading the blogs I see my fav eddykatted sff is back!! Yeah!!!

Interesting. I find that I gravitate most readily toward things that make me feel similarly empty or tired or aggravated--namely, procrastinating in all sorts of ways; by contrast, my inclination is to shun things that I know will make me happy: doing my work on time, doing the housework, exercising. I've struck a reasonable balance between those competing urges, but it's an everyday struggle; what it boils down to is that you can only really reap rewards from things that entail work. Other activities are natural extensions of antsiness, laziness, frustration--all counterproductive.
You know, the crack analogy kind of applies here; after the first, glorious hit, the crack addict spends the rest of her life chasing the "ghost"--the unobtainable sense of elation and pleasure that she recalls from the first hit that no subsequent hits can quite seem to deliver.

sound's like impulsive behavior too me , not urge's, and nothing wrong with that as long as your not harming yourself or anyone else.
