I took my boys fishing earlier. It was a pretty calm night around dark. We only caught a couple of fish but, I was grateful that they went with me and had so much fun. Since they're both teenagers, I know my time is limited before they get entrapped in their own lifestyles. God damn! When did I get old? It kinda slipped past me. Yesterday, they were needing diapers. Today, they need driving lessons and advice on chics. WTF?! Life has done passed me by. And, I have no qualms about that! My only problem is, that once the kids are grown, what to do with their mom? It'll bring a new venue to our lives. Today was great! BUT, what does tomorrow hold? I've been basing it all on my 2 boys. And, I'll continue doing the same! But, life, as I know it is about to change. Guess I'll hafta learn a new line of bullshit............

Though I have never fathered children I can sort of understand these sentiments. As to being old, Crissy tells me that I am most days so I think I'll just park up my zimmer frame and roll on back into bed before I trip over one of the cats.

The kids do grow fast. I look at mine everyday and see changes. I don't like most of these changes.
She is only 12 but men driving by my house and only see the backside of her don't know her age. They honk and wave.
Time goes by fast. Yes we get older. Enjoy life with your kids while they are still around.
Glad you had a great day with your kids.

I'm still working on my time machine- hope to be selling tickets down the road sometime! Haven't come up with prices for 5 or 10 year younger looking sessions yet! Ten year tickets will cost more!

Hey friend,I was in exactly your mindset about 14 months ago. The I realized that I could spend the rest of my life however long that my be,having a pity party for myself,or I could change my life for the better. Now it hasn't been a cake walk by any means, and there have been trials and tribulations; but everyday I wake up I try to have a positive attitude about life and take it from there. I truly wish you well in your life; take care of yourself.

If only I had time to pull myself away from work long enough to go fishing! Boy I miss that. There is a lake up in the mountains around here that you need a 4x4 to get to. The road is to rough and steep in places to drag a boat to, plus there isn't a boat ramp anyway. It is secluded and there is hardly any people there cause it takes nearly an hour to get there after you leave the main road. It's a nice spot to just cast you line out with a weight and float, sit down in the camp chair and just take in the scenery as you wait for the lake, rainbow or german brown to take the bait.
After writing that, I really need to go fishing!
