I just got off the phone with the wildchild...he actually called, not to ask for money, but to wish me a belated Happy Mother's Day! Wow! And we talked...really talked...for like a half an hour! Well...most of it was him talking about how much it kinda sucked there...but not enough for him to want to come home yet. lol
Anyways...it was good to hear from him, I still miss him terribly but at least I know he's ok and not starving or strung out on dope or anything. And he still knows he has a place to come back to when it gets too rough.
I know...not very exciting for the rest of you...but it made my day.
Since I didn't say it last sunday...Here's to all the other moms out there...especially the ones who didn't get to be with their kids on Mother's Day.

Why is it when they are up under us we want a little space from them and when they are away from us we can't stand it? lol I'm the same way with my kids. I'm glad he's safe and fairly happy and I know you're so happy that he called without wanting anything. You must be a fantastic mom.

 he's alive and well n not living in peru
not sure i can totaly grasp a mom point of view as they watch the child go out into the world to check it out n spread their wings but ....i've read enough to KNOW you'll do the right thing to give him enough space to learn but always be there for him when he needs you and THAT is a MOM

So glad you heard from him, g/f! Still no word from my son... his number is disconnected and I can't get hold of him... of course, as a mama, I'm worried sick!
You were definately in my thoughts on Sunday! Love ya and miss you! Wish you were still here so you could come over for the BBQ this weekend!!!
