What are you getting your mom for Mothers Day? posted 5/5/2007 2:23:07 PM | 2 kudos what's this?     report abuse tagged: mothers day, straddle, holiday   StraddleMyNose Mothers Day is coming up next Sunday and that will be one of the busiest holidays of the year for phone companies. Usually every year I get my mom some hanging baskets with pretty flowers in them and their put out on her porch. I got them yesterday (a week early) because I didn't want to wait till next weekend because I wanted a better selection for her. We all know that moms can really test our patients and can totally drive us nuts, but that doesn't change the fact that we love them. What are your plans with your mom? What are you getting her? 	For my Mom (yes, she drives me crazy) I have gotten her a $50 gift certificate to this new spa so she can get a manicure and pedicure. Also she will get a couple of flats of flowers for her garden.

	i will talk to her.......she has been gone 5 years.......i know she will hear me........db it gets less hard every year........it never gets easy.......

	At this point, I figure a card is about all I am willing to do...not that I even want to do that. Fortunately she is have a continent away so she can't guilt me into anything else.

	Normally mom gets miniture roses and we go out to dinner. This year she gets a phone call since I now live 2000 miles away. Which does make it harder for her to drive me nuts.

	My brothers and I are planting an apple tree on her and dad's graves at the cemetary. Tomorrow would be their 46th anniversary.
