sweetheart I have two dogs. There are several Deer that bring their babies to my front door to be fed, along with about 40 wild Turkeys, seven wild Geese and a couple of Ducks. But I still get very lonely.

An excellent one is to VOLUNTEER a hospital, at a social animal control....most have some kind of volunteer work you can do. You can be a foster mom to a pregnant cat or dog til she has here babies and raise them til they get good homes....that is fun too. I used to do that and will again when my son goes off to college. When you fill your time up helping others it helps YOU more than you can ever know right now.....soup kitchens too! Depending on how big your city is they always need help.....lunch and supper.

No....just don't fight it....come to trems with it....and regard it as an old friend.
that takes the sting out of it.

Unless you live in the desert somewhere. You are never alone. so you are speaking of something else.

maybe you are being too specific about who you wish to meet. Or are still hung up on someone and thus not really attracted to anyone right now.

a really good cry helps sometimes! or call a friend! then try all the other suggestions, another job, volunteering and so forth! good luck and yeah it sucks!

Sunshine TT, anything in the Sun or under it. It's a natural part of the human behavior to seek interaction with others in the outdoors. Been that way as long as we have been here.
The obvious is also true but frequent random acts of sex aren't healthy in the long term. They heart the heat and cause low self esteem. But a good hard fucking once in awhile is good for the soul and a great stress reliever.
Find a friend first and then see what benefits you'd like to share.

I think that for me, it depends on what I am calling lonliness. If it is a physical lonliness by itself, I choose to, and quite often do take matters into my own hands(so to speak),
If it is the lonliness of not having someone to confide in, someone who would be there for me through the good times and the bad times, someone who could just hold me and let me know that I am not alone, then I would say that takes a tremendous amount of work from both people.
I tend to find that I allow myself to be as lonly as I can stand to be. I used to believe that not having someone to have sexual relations with was the source of my loniness. That only kept me resentful at other people and believing that sex was the only way I wouldn't be lonley. Today I don't believe sex will cure my lonliness. Don't get me wrong though, I love having sex and it always seems to take away that feeling for the duration of it, but I also know that if I have to look outside myself to avoid feeling lonly, then I need to work on me and find out why I believe the way I do. I can only speak for myself though. Anyway, thats my two cents worth.
