What happened to common courtesy? Is it only dead here in Kentucky or is it like that everywhere? I have read the blogs about how men should act or not act and I know there are a lot of losers out there that doesn't know how to take 'NO' for an answer but is it to much to ask for a simple "No I am not interested"?

I have sent several emails, some asking the particular party to check out my profile to see if they might be interested or maybe just to comment how beautiful a woman may be. The emails I send just to pay a compliment, I usually say a return email is not expected and the funny thing is that they are more apt to respond. There are a few of us out here that do respect a woman’s wishes. Speaking for myself, I am always polite and courteous and above all else respectful. I take time to read a person’s profile and if I feel we are not compatible I don’t write, simple as that. I personally, am looking for a friend first, sex second and I can take no for an answer.

If you post a picture... you'd probably get better/more responses. Its really hard to "judge" someone without one :o)

I don't know about the other women here, but if a man is nice enough to send me an email complimenting me I always write a polite thank you in return. Maybe it's just a southern thang. lol Who knows.

i hear ya man, mega kudos on yr blog, but its not just in KY its everywhere, sad ta say, but it does seem that common courtesy is gettin gone with a quickness on both sides of the sexes

Please don't take this the wrong way but judging a person by his or her picture has nothing to do with courtesy. There is no guarantee that the picture posted is of the actual person depicted. I personally judge a person with my heart first and not my eyes. If a woman interests me I do go to the trouble of reading their profile and if I feel I don't meet with the standards of what they are looking for then I move on.

I have pics but I do not post them for all to see due to discretion on my part. Friendship does not require a picture to be established that is why I like to chat with a person first. If I see a connection, then I will trade pics with them. If not and we don't 'click' then I wish them the very best in life and hope they find what they are looking for.

As I stated before I can take 'no' for an answer, there is nothing to cry about. I am grateful for at least letting me know where I stand with them.

Please take this in the good intentions that it was meant.
